I have assigned a user to the listing but am not able to log in as that user and change the listing information by going to the actual listing detail page.  How do we allow new listing users to edit their own listing after it has been approved?

If you have assigned the listing to a user, the edit icon should appear below their listing on the listing page (not detail page).

Make sure, if you are creating listings on user's behalf, that you have set the listing as standard or enhanched listing approval before turning the listing over to the user.

You can log in as admin, edit the listing, and set the standard or enhanced listing approval in the admin options section of the form.

If you cannot see the edit icon below their listing, when logged in:

Check in the Host >> Module Definitions section of your DNN portal to see which version of XMod that you have installed.

Xmod 5.5.3 had a bug in the edit control that was pointed out to Kelly Ford (XMod Developer) by Buck.

Kelly had corrected the issue in XMod 5.5.4.

If you are running version 5.5.3 of XMod, there is a 5.5.4 XMod upgrade version available in the Snowcovered.com patches and hot fix section of your snowcovered account.

Do I have to install both the xmod and form xmod modules? I get an alert when trying to install the formview one that it will overwrite the content. it is formview v5.5.0 which is already installed and the xmod version is 5.5.4 now but the edit icon isn’t appearing when logged in as that user who is assigned.

5.5.4 is installed but it isn’t working. Please help! http://atriptothezoo.com

Hello, Justin Anderson:

I am having the same problem when I assigned listing to to user. The edit icon is not appearing, after reading the above content I have updated the Xmod: 5.5.3 TO XMod554.

But still the icon is not there.

Can you please give a light on this?

Thanks,
Usman

Check to ensure that your form settings are set to allow the user to edit listings.

Go to the Xmod action menu >> manage forms >> edit form using the plain text editor >> settings link.

Under the XMod moderation section, make sure that the box is checked to allow users to edit an approved record.

Save Settings.

The form view is the same in Xmod 5.5.3 and 5.5.4.

Installing the form view in 5.5.4 will not harm anything.

Thank you Very Much :)

""Under the XMod moderation section, make sure that the box is checked to allow users to edit an approved record.""

This line really helped me...

Thanks a lot Mr. Anderson.
