Hi Buck,

Two issues I'm having.

First: When selecting "All Listings" it's only showing 10 listings with no page option below. For instance I have 20 listing but only 10 is showing.

Second: I setup the sorting option to show "Enhance Listings" only if prefered. At the top of the listing is a dropdown with the option to see Enhance only but its not working. Any sugestions?

Thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary,

To answer the first question, you need to set paging.

On the XMod module go to the edit menu >> Configure XMod module >> Manage Templates >> Select your Business Directory List View template >> Choos editor = Plain text >> Edit Template

On Edit Template select the Item Settings tab. Configure the settings as shown in the image below:

Business Directory Paging

Optionally, you can check the box Display Page Number Buttons if you also want paging numbers to be available to your visitors.

Finally, Save Template and click Done.

In answer to your second question, on the Configure Your XMod >> Display Settings tab you have Default sorting option. This will sort the list either acending or descending based on which form field you choose  from the Form Field dropdown box.

THe User Sorting area below this option allows User Sort Options. This creates the dropdown sort box on your search bar. Here you can select multiple fields that you want your visitors to have the option to sort by.

Gary, I would need to see the site and have  login credentials to see what is going on with your sort configuration.

If you want to send the site URL and Admin login to support@dnnprofessor.com, I should have time to look at it this afternoon.

Buck

Hi Buck,

I've done what you suggested but still don't see the page numbers and the sorting option isn't as it should be (so I think :) )

sending you my Admin information via email.

Thanks,
Gary

Hi Gary,

The issue was on your Configure Your XMod >> Data Settings you had randomized checked. Xmod cannot page listings when set to randomize.

Your dropdown sort box for Enhanced Listings is working fine. The XMod dropdown does not change the listings with an onChange event. You need to select Enhanced Listings and then click the sort link. If you want to reverse sort, you select from the dropdown box, check reverse, and then click the sort link.

Is there anything that can be done to pull records randomly that doesn't remove the pagination? I also need the sort option to override random. Is this possible? Thanks!

To my knowledge the answer is no.

You may want to ask Xmod support at http://dnndev.com for verification.
